Methods of Service

The method of service is dependant on the type of legal process that requires serving on the respondent and whether the respondent is an individual or a corporate entity such as a company or organisation.

Guidance on service should be given by the judge presiding over your case or your legal advisor but should you require further assistance we are happy to help.

Methods of service include;

Personal Service (which is always the most preferable)

The respondent is handed the documents personally and the contents explained.

Substituted Service

Where personal service is not possible or the respondent is evading service the relevant legislation or judge presiding over your case can give permission for a form of substituted service to be used.
